It will be great, there's no way it could be bad. The older Noel is, the better he is, it's like good wine (and I'm French, I know what I'm talkin about). And Liam's voice will be divine as ever. I can't wait for it, and for the following tour. Come on come on !!!!

Heard Noel wants to make a huge album, you know. With all of the works and stuff. Orchestra, choir, etc. Sounds good to me, considering DBTT only had one stadium anthem.

Ho - ho -ho... Sounds great !!! I disagree for DBTT of course, because it's one of my favourite Oasis album, but anyway. We agree, the next one will be BIG !! Welcome, Armeniacityinthesky !!!

i'd prefer a full on guitar album than an album with a choir and orchestral stuff. i'm also hoping the album will be all new material and not just filled with the many left over songs from the DBTT sessions.

due to the massive oasis fan base, expectation will be high for the new album and i know they have it in them to still make the best album ever.

I think it'll be out in early 08 and if they'll ever release a BIG album again, then the next one will be it!
With Stop the Clocks and The Boy With the Blues maybe being on it and some other tunes, Noel are "happy with", it will be great.
But it will also be very experimentary (is it spelled like this?

)
However, can't wait fer it ^^

I hope Liam writes as many songs as he did on the last record. In my opinion the songs he wrote on DBTT were generally better.

Liam's song writing is improving all the time. cant wait to hear his new songs and i hope that they are that good that they shut the critics up once and for all

I'd like it to have more Gem, he's a fantastic songwriter. I personally like his songs more than Liam and Andy's.

The orchestra-choir are a great idea, as long as they don't go too far and fall into the really cheesy stuff, which would be suprising form them but still. But the idea of bringing back the huge proportions of Be Here Now is a fuckign great idea. I'd love a sister tune to All Around The World.

I'm worried about Liam though. I just don't think he'd handle the vocals anymore. His voice is gonna be either fucking terrible or absolutely amazing.

But yeah I still have the faith. It's never too late to release their best album.

dont worry about liams voice.

remember this, liam has to contend with 100,000 people singing at the same time as him. so obviously he sings louder than he should.

we all know liam can sing better than any rock n roller

i reckon the new album will be similar to DBTT in format. a song each from gem/andy, a couple from liam and the rest written by noel.

like noel says, its hard to keep saying the same thing over and over again but in a different way in songs. how can he sing about being on the dole 'anthems' when he's a millionaire. nowadays its a rant about being in a supermarket queue

(still a good song though).

liam reckons the best is yet to come from Oasis. you know what, i still believe that. The band are capable of making the best album of all time and hopefully the forthcoming album will be

I prefer WTS, personally. I like how grand it is. And it's solid all the way through, whereas DM has "Digsy's Diner"

And I'm still waiting for them to do an album like Kid A or Think Tank.

they have already done a 'kid A' / 'think tank' album which was produced by death in vegas. noel canned it at the last moment as he thought the songs were wrong. he did say it will turn up for fans one day when they split up on a box set. noel got death in vegas to produce it after hearing liam sing 'scorpio rising' with death in vegas. shame really as to me this is liam at his best and i would have loved to hear oasis take that direction musically.

Stop right there, Digsy's Dinner is amazing !! If I absolutely had to choose one weak song on DM, Digsy's Dinner is not even to be considered

As for the new album, doing another experimental album would be the best thing for them right now. They need to surprise people, come up with something completely unpredictable and fantastic at the same time, instead of trying to recreate their past glories. Move forward.

a change of musical direction has always been on the cards but never really materialised. Noel has always mentioned the 'next' album would be down the years so lets wait and see what they come up with.

Could this be the album that propels them to U2's popularity? Anything is possible, especially if Stop The Clocks is the fantastic tune Noel is saying it is.
